Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters the Spider Society, a team of Spider-People charged with protecting the Multiverse’s very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must set out on his own to save those he loves most. Anyone can wear the mask – it’s how you wear it that makes you a hero.
After a grueling five-year-long wait, Marvel fans everywhere will finally be able to return to the animated multiverse with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The upcoming sequel's predecessor requires no explanation, as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse not only ensnared audiences and critics alike but also caught a prestigious Oscar win with a Best Animated Feature award. With "New York's one and only Spider-Man," Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), now becoming a household name, fans of the first film eagerly awaited the day they could see young Miles swing into the Spider-Verse again.
Thankfully, the wait is almost finally over, as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will return to screens soon. This time Miles will not only be reunited with Gwen Stacey (Hailee Steinfeld) and Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson) but he'll also be introduced to an entire multiversal society of Spider-people created and led by a particularly pessimistic variant of Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac). Though some of the other variants in this secretive organization view Miles as a nuisance more than anything else, they'll have to learn to put those apprehensions aside if they hope to save the multiverse from an all-new terrifying threat. As the release date for the sequel to one of the most celebrated Spider-Man films ever made crawls closer and closer, here is precisely where and how you can watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse when it premieres this Summer.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse had its world premiere at the Regency Village Theatre on May 30, 2023, and is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on June 2, delayed from an initial October 2022 date because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

How to Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
There's been no official announcement regarding Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's streaming release date, though we know it will eventually be released on Netflix, rather than Disney+ or HBO Max.
In terms of which of the streaming giants Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released on, Netflix will house the film upon its streaming debut. While again, Sony does not have its own dedicated streaming service, a deal was struck in 2021 between the studio and Netflix. The deal, stating that Netflix would stream Sony's films after theatrical release, was penned for 5 years meaning Across the Spider-Verse is part of the arrangement.
While Sony's Spider-Man content is also streaming on Disney+, due to the collaborations between Sony and Marvel Studios in recent years, Across the Spider-Verse will be a Netflix release. While the deal struck between Marvel Studios and Sony may extend to this film, Disney+ is only allowed to begin streaming Sony's Spider-Man releases upon their release on Netflix. As a result, Netflix will be the first streaming service that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be available on after its theatrical release.
Because it’s airing on FX, you can of course fire up Into the Spider-Verse via FX Now. But in addition, the animated flick is streaming on both fubo (which offers a free trial and has cord-cutting plans starting at $74.99/month; sign up here) and DirecTV (which also offers a free trial and has cord-cutting plans starting at $64.99/month.

Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Theaters?
Not only was Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse the subject of rave reviews, but it also pulled in some gargantuan levels of cash at the international box office, with a final tally that quadrupled the film's ninety-million dollar budget. With incredible success like that, it's only natural that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse would also be taking advantage of a theatrical release. That is the case, as the upcoming film will be exclusively available in theaters when it premieres on June 2nd, 2023.

When Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be on Streaming?
The Spider-Man franchise is in a pretty interesting place regarding streaming. The various films of Sony's franchise have typically been scattered across multiple services. That said, following a historic deal between Sony and Disney, the many stories of Peter Parker and beyond are now available on Disney+. This includes the original Sam Raimi trilogy, the first Amazing Spider-Man film, and, starting mid-May, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Venom. Notably absent from the Disney-streaming platform so far are The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Morbius, and most significant of all, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Some of the films are not currently available on the service because Sony has pre-existing partnerships with Starz, as that's where most of the absent films are available to stream. That is except for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is instead only streaming on Fubo TV and FX Now.
If Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse comes to Disney+ before Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's theatrical run concludes, that would make the House of Mouse's service a likely contender for a streaming release. However, Sony has also historically partnered with Netflix for streaming releases. Up until recently, that's where Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was available to stream, and Sony still brings their other big releases to the service, like Bullet Train and The Woman King.

When will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse be streaming on Netflix?
Sony Animation’s big new Spider-Man movie is about to hit theaters and will be headed to Netflix (at least in the United States) later this year. For a prediction as to when and a bit more about the new movie, here’s what you need to know.
As we covered in 2021, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be headed to Netflix as the service gets both Sony’s animation and live-action content via a first window deal struck in April 2021.
The deal stipulates that all Sony theatrical movies come to Netflix in the first window, which at a minimum, is 120 days after its theatrical release date. If it arrives exactly 120 days after, it’ll be streaming from September 30th, 2023.
With that said, given how big this movie is, we may see it release a few weeks after the fact. Either way, we expect the movie to be available between late September and November 2023.

Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be Streaming On Netflix?
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is coming to Netflix approximately in December 2023.
In 2021, Sony and Netflix signed a five-year deal that gave the latter exclusive first-pay-window U.S. streaming rights for Sony Pictures titles after their theatrical and home entertainment windows. Fans can expect to watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Netflix six months after the film’s theatrical release, thus in December 2023. The date seems reasonable considering that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse dropped on Netflix on June 26, 2019, six months after its U.S. release on December 14, 2018. The pay-one window usually begins about nine months after a film’s theatrical release, but it might start earlier in particular cases.

Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be On HBO Max?
No, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Universal Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.

Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be Streaming On Disney+?
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is also coming to Disney Plus approximately in 2025.

Once the pay-one window runs its time and Netflix’s exclusive rights expire, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be available on Disney Plus. The pay-one window might last as long as 18 months, which means it will be a while before Disney Plus subscribers can watch the much-anticipated sequel. Unlike in other countries, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse isn’t yet available on the Disney-owned streamer in the U.S.
American fans will have to wait until 2024 to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and at least until 2025 for its sequel. We will update this post once there is an official Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Disney Plus release date.

Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new Marvel's animation movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

With theatrical films, on average, coming to streaming sooner than ever (usually ninety days after theatrical release), we'll likely see Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse get a DVD, and Blu-ray release no later than Fall 2023.

What is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse About?
Returning with many of your favorite characters, including Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman, Peter B. ParkeSpider-Man, and of course Miles Morales as our primary Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set one year after the events of the previous film. Miles (Shameik Moore) is coming into his own as Spider-Man when he is unexpectedly approached by Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) with an extraordinary opportunity. Does Miles want to help a team of Spider-People, led by Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) protect the multiverse from the terrifying threat of a man known as The Spot (Jason Schwartzman)?
Obviously, Miles is going to say yes, setting him up for an adventure that will expand this movie’s concept of the multiverse in every possible way. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse promises tons of new characters and worlds, without losing sight of what people have come to love about this particular Spider-franchise.
Miles Morales has become a massively popular Spider-Man, and you can be certain he’ll be at the center of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s chaotic blend of action, comedy, comic book aesthetics, and large-scale science fiction. It seems more likely than not that Across the Spider-Verse will be the biggest animated release of 2023.

As a spurs fan I would really like Hatate O Reilly and Jota to come Spurs of Ange joins. I would like Kyogo also but I fear he’s too small to be a good striker in the prem.

2023.06.01 03:23 RevolutionaryAd7166 Weird “electrical issues” plaguing my car within a week - could they be related?

I'm seeking some advice and insights regarding a series of strange electrical issues that have been plaguing my 2006 Honda Civic lately. I'm hoping someone here can help shed some light on what might be going on.
It started during a road trip from California to Louisiana. I’m a medical student and I had to be in Louisiana by Monday(I left Friday). Coming out of California, I stopped at a rest stop and when I started my car again after 5 mins the AC wouldn’t work. I thought it might need a a recharge or whatever but looking at it I didn’t see the compressor running. And the pressures were very high when I checked on the low pressure line. It had been working perfectly for the last 4 hours.
When I stopped in Phoenix and started the car the next morning, I noticed that the dreaded "Check Engine" light had decided to make an appearance. I drove it from Phoenix to Tucson with no issues but I knew going into Texas there’s a long stretch with not much on the way so I decided to get it checked. Got the code read at O’Reilly’s and it was “P0507 - Idle Air Control System RPM Higher Than Expected”. Didn’t think the car had been idling any different and there were no real issues but I couldn’t risk it so I showed it to a mechanic nearby. He looked at it and said it needed a new throttle valve/body. I tried to get some more information about what was wrong with it, whether it just needed to be cleaned etc. He kept being vague saying it’s just not working and said maybe an electrical issue when really pressed. Charged me $1300 for parts and labor - felt like I was being ripped off (and also felt there was nothing wrong with the throttle body and don’t think he really did anything) but I didn’t have the luxury of waiting around and other shops were closed. This issue hasn’t reoccurred(maybe they just cleaned it?)
To add to the confusion, the following day, while driving, I noticed that the "Daytime Running Lights" (DRL) light on my dashboard had come on and the daytime running lights were flickering intermittently when I checked. Not a huge issue I thought, I can replace those. However, the issue mysteriously resolved itself the very next day and hasn’t reoccurred.
Fast forward a couple of days, and the left speaker in my car suddenly stopped working. I hadn't made any changes to the audio system, so this was completely unexpected. It seemed like the electrical gremlins were at it again, targeting a different component this time.
Just to provide some additional information, my car's battery was replaced last year, and I haven't noticed any battery-related issues. There's no battery light on, and the car continues to run and start without any problems. The only “new thing” is a CarPlay system that plugs into the DC outlet that I put in a week before I left California.
At this point, I'm at a loss as to what could be causing these sporadic electrical issues. I haven’t had it parked for a prolonged time and didn’t notice any animals but I haven’t looked at it too closely. I have driven this car in California for a year without issues and all throughout the US before that over the past couple of years. I thought I'd reach out to this community for any insights or suggestions you might have. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any ideas on what might be going on?
I am going to take it mechanic and have them run a diagnostic but I thought I’d gather some ideas before I go.
Any expertise and guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
TL;DR: My car's electrical issues started with the AC going out at the start of a road trip. Check Engine light came on the next day and I got it fixed(throttle body issue), followed by DRL light flickering, which resolved itself. Days later, the left speaker stopped working. Battery was replaced last year, and the car runs and starts fine. Seeking advice and suggestions on how to diagnose and fix these issues.

TOH.v's Helium Shortage Solution: Underground Storage, Production, and Exploration
The demand for helium is steadily increasing, with a market worth of $4.4 billion in 2022 and projected to reach $6.4 billion by 2027. This demand is driven by advancements in sectors such as semiconductors, fiber optics, aeronautics, and medical devices. Hospitals, being the largest end-users, accounted for 32% of the global helium market in 2021.
The "Helium shortage 4.0" crisis emerged in early 2022 due to various factors, including pandemic-related supply chain failures, the Russian-Ukrainian war, and disruptions in facilities in Russia and Qatar. As a result, helium prices have grown significantly since 2021, leading to supply rationing and hindering scientific research.
Total Helium (TSXV: TOH) is partnering with a multinational industrial gas company to establish an underground helium storage facility that will rival the U.S. Federal Helium Reserve. TOH will hold a 50% ownership stake in the facility and handle its operations. Additionally, TOH is actively involved in helium exploration and production, controlling the Hugoton field in Kansas, a historically significant hub of helium production in the United States.
Through a joint venture, TOH also has stakes in the Pinta South project, a valuable source of natural gas abundant in helium. TOH holds a 20% interest in two productive wells and a 50% interest in eight additional pre-existing wells. The Pinta South project benefits from helium concentrations ranging from 5% to 8% and a shallow-producing formation that enables cost-effective drilling and completion operations.

Given helium's significance across industries and the current shortage, TOH hopes to meet this demand through strategic acquisitions, extensive production plans, and a focus on vertical integration. TOH aims to safeguard industries which need helium and restore the United States' prominence in the global helium market.

2023.06.01 00:02 Re-Re_Baker Peter can’t stay related to kid readers forever. He needs to grow up.

But Marvel is too stubborn to allow that. They said that 616 Peter being married and having kids would make him “less justifiable” when it would make him more justifiable. They said that Peter having a child will cause kids to lose interest in him when it will cause them to be more interested. Wouldn’t they be excited to see Mayday, Benjy and Annie when they’re born? They were excited to see Franklin Richards when he was born.
Why do Sue Storm and Reed Richards marry and have their son Franklin but Peter can’t stay married to Mary Jane and have Mayday? It’s bizarre on how these writers do nonsense like that.
Why didn’t Joe Quesada try to do a comic to break up Sue and Reed and prevent Franklin from being born? He did this with Peter and Mary Jane and ruined everything! Why didn’t he ruin Fantastic Four with this cat shit?!
What’s worse is that Zeb Wells did this massive dog shit where Mary Jane is married to fugly Paul and they adopted those brats Owen and Romy until they faded away to oblivion. He even said that Peter will never be married nor have a child because that would be the last issue. It’s outrageous. He, along with Cebulski and Lowe are those editorial writers who have a fetish for pissing fans off and torturing Peter nonstop.
We have all kinds of spider people who are still related to kids such as Miles Morales, Miguel O’Hara, Gwen Stacy (Spider-Gwen), Cindy Moon, Ben Reilly, Kaine Parker, Jessica Drew, Peter Porker and on and on and on.
So sick of this horse shit. So tired of those editorial writers’ shenanigans. So sick of Quesada’s “Superhero couples breaking up” cat shit and Wells’ “Paul and those brats” dog shit.

We had a nice cool morning here in Arizona so I headed out for a ride on the nice twisty road from Apache Junction past Tortilla Flat to the end of the road.
Coming back I trundled slowly past through Tortilla Flat so as not to disturb the lady walking in the road to her car and good thing; there were two dozen motorcycle cops all lined up presumably going for lunch.
Has anyone else run into such a large group of motorcycle police? I assume that it was some kind of confidence-building / training exercise / boondoggle.
Didn’t stop for a photograph - I just wanted to get the heck out of there. Also, the half-dozen or do bikers in the bar were about to get a big surprise. 😂

2023.05.31 23:03 PaxDragoon Assistant Coach Candidate: Phil Housley

In the Athletic's article covering the announcement of Brett McLean as the new Iowa coach, Russo rattled off a number of assistant coach candidates: Phil Housley, John Torchetti, Mike Van Ryn, Tony Granato, Blaine Forsythe, and John Hynes/Skeletor.
So...Phil Housley. He initially was an assistant for the Nashville Predators from 2013-17, and credited with the development of Roman Josi, Ryan Ellis, Seth Jones, and Mattias Ekholm into the players that they are (or were, in the case of Ellis). After the Predators Cup run in 2017, he was hired by the Buffalo Sabres to take over as their head coach, replacing Dan Bylsma.
The season before Housley took over, the Sabres were 26th in the league in points, 25th in goals per game (2.43), 19th in goals against (2.82), had the #1 ranked power play (wtf, 24.46%), and were 25th in PK% (77.64%).
Season one of Housley (2017-18), the Sabres became the worst team in the league. 31st in goal for (198), 29th in goals against (278), 20th in the power play (19.07%), and 22nd in the PK (77.87%). This team still had its leading scorers from the previous season (Eichel, Reinhart, O'Reilly, Ristolainen, Kane, and Okposo). Same goalie (Robin Lehner). After season one of Housley, Ryan O'Reilly forces his way out.
Season two of Housley (2018-19) sees the Sabres rise to...27th in league standings. #1 overall pick Rasmus Dahlin joins the team. The Sabres move up to 24th in scoring (221), 24th in goals against (268), 16th in the power play (19.49%), and 12th on the PK (80.93). Not good enough. Phil Housley is let go after two seasons of suck, and his tenure will be best known as the one that was bad enough for the Sabres to build their franchise around (Dahlin and Thompson being added).
Arizona adds Housley in the summer of 2019, looking to spur on their already reliable defense corps. Hjalmarsson, Ekman-Larsson, Goligoski, and Jakob Chychrun are their anchors. Arizona gets worse, but still manages some playoff success due to the nature of the COVID playoffs. Chychrun takes a step forward, leading the defense with 12 goals (26 points total, 3rd after Goose and OEL). The power play improves from 26th to 18th.
The COVID season of 2020-21 sees Chychrun become the #2 scorer on the team with 18 goals and 41 points in 56 games. The power play improves to 13th in the league at 20.79% (up from 19.16%). 2021-22 has the Coyotes absolutely cratering, scoring on only 13.86% of their opportunities. Some of that is to be expected due to injuries to Chychrun and the Coyotes focusing on...well...sucking (dealing Conor Garland and Christian Dvorak before the season). Housley is let go as his contract is up.
Takeaways: Housley has a good track record molding young defensemen, something the Wild could certainly use. He was the power play coach in Arizona, which made marked improvements over the first two seasons before...that. Giving him a go with Addison and Faber, not to mention Lambos, Spacek, Peart, and the rest would probably be a net benefit. There should be ZERO consideration of him as interim head coach should Guerin decide to move on from Evason at some point, though.
Verdict (doubles as a tl;dr!): I'd be okay with this.

Thomas Ta Power, one of the leading members of the IRSM during the 1980’s
Thomas Ta Power was a irish nationalist socialist from the markets area of belfast, born on the funny named ‘friendly street’ he joined the INLA during its split, and was a respected political thinker. His brother Jim Power died by his own bomb in 1981, while i believe trying to defuse it, this had an effect on him. During the late 80’s split, he stuck with best friend and markets man John O Reilly, both men would be shot and killed in 1987, both were said to have changed irish socialism forever if they had lived.

2023.05.31 16:21 nscaler711 03 Baja Questions

So I just picked up a MT Baja and I was curious what the aftermarket was like for these cars. I have a '14 86 and the aftermarket for parts is insane, but so far I can't find a lot on the Baja's. I know it's 20 years old at this point, but I'd still like to spruce it up. So things like a Turbo hood, possibly the bed extender, lights of any kind other than stock. Any decent places too look? Also Transmission fluid, it seems only Subaru carries the MT 75W-80, is there anywhere else? I have Carquest, Napa, O'Reilly's, AutoZone and FVP available in my area. Thanks for any info!

2023.05.31 15:11 MarvelsGrantMan136 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - Review Thread

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Reviews:
Hollywood Reporter:
In Across the Spider-Verse, Miles’ identity takes center stage, but not totally in the ways you might expect. The film retains its signature tone — moving between humor and sentimentalism with a light touch — but there’s a greater effort now to connect Miles’ origin story to broader lessons about superhero canons. That doesn’t always land as gracefully, and parts of Across the Spider-Verse feel weighed down by this need to belabor a well-established point. Still those moments can be forgiven as the story unfurls, revealing that Miles, with his new challenges, remains a hero worth rooting for.
Variety:
They’ve done it. “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” doesn’t just extend the tale of Miles Morales. The film advances that story into newly jacked-up realms of wow-ness that make it a genuine spiritual companion piece to the first film. That one spun our heads and then some; this one spins our heads even more (and would fans, including me, have it any other way?).
Deadline:
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse It’s a film that thrives in its complexity and flourishes in its commitment to authentic storytelling. Despite a slightly convoluted plot, it’s a memorable journey where writers Lord, Miller, and Callaham understand how to formulate a comics adaptation. This latest addition to the Spider-Verse canon reminds us why we love superhero narratives — not just for the action but for their humanity.
Collider (A):
Across the Spider-Verse isn't just easily one of the best films of 2023 and one of the best animated films in years, it's also in the running for best superhero film ever, and arguably cements Miles Morales as the best Spider-Man we've seen on the screen so far.
IGN (8/10):
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse surges with visual inventiveness and vibrance in an undeniably strong evolution of the style established in Into the Spider-Verse. Miles and Gwen’s search for their place in the multiverse is relentless and exciting, almost to a fault, and though the plot is often an afterthought to the pure chaos of creation on display, strong performances and character arcs that feel true to the heroes we met last time help ensure that Across the Spider-Verse is a more-than-worthy follow-up to an all-time classic.
Total Film (5/5):
Visually astonishing, emotionally daring, this spectacular sequel has enough wit, imagination and thrills to fill several worlds. But prepare to be left hanging till the sequel hits screens.
SlashFilm (7.5/10):
Now Miles is back with "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," a sequel that's bigger and bolder than the first ... and also incomplete. By making this the first of two films, writers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham have crafted a movie that doesn't really feel like a movie — it's just a chapter. An exciting chapter, sure, but an unfinished chapter that runs out the clock, torpedoing all the momentum it was building in the process.
IndieWire (A-):
”Into the Spider-Verse” was astute and funny, complicated and emotional, unique and daring, and its sequel only grows and expands on those aims. If the first film showed what superhero movies could be, “Across the Spider-Verse” goes even further: It shows what they should be. In a genre built on the literally super and special, these films are unafraid to stand out and do something truly different, something that pushes the limits, to show the genuine range available to this subset of stories and feel damn good in the process (and look, dare we say, even better).
Empire (5/5):
Across The Spider-Verse cranks every dial to 11, and somehow doesn’t collapse in on itself. Visually astonishing, emotionally powerful, narratively propulsive — it’s another masterpiece.
The Wrap:
“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” doesn’t just tell a Spider-Man story, it takes the whole Spider-Man formula — a chance encounter with a radioactive spider, plus tragedy, equals hero — and transforms it into an oppressive, morally questionable dogma. The leader of the Spider-Men, Miguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaac), aka Spider-Man 2099, believes all their existences are defined by the deaths of innocent people around them. So those people have to die, don’t they?
---
Synopsis:
Over a year after the events of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), Miles Morales is unexpectedly approached by his love interest Gwen Stacy to complete a mission to save every universe of Spider-People from the Spot, who could cause a catastrophic disaster. Miles is up for the challenge, where he and Gwen journey through the Multiverse together and meet its protectors, a group of Spider-People known as the Spider-Society, led by Miguel O'Hara. However, Miles finds himself at odds with Miguel and the Spider-Society on how to handle the threat and must redefine what it means to be a hero so that he can save the people he loves.
